Key Job Responsibilities

+ Transports patients safely between departments using wheelchairs as appropriate.

+ Utilizes patient safety criteria and correct patient handoff processes.

+ Ensures that patient is comfortable during the transporting process.

+ Provides assistance to patient, family and health care staff as needed.

+ Places equipment not in use in assigned location and ensures equipment is clean and in proper working order.

Physical Requirements

+ The physical activities of this position may include pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.

+ Must have good balance and coordination.

+ The physical requirements of this position are: medium work

+ Frequent non-invasive patient contact.

+ Ability to react quickly to emergency situations
