    Overview

     

    Kimley-Horn's San Diego office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join their Land Development team!

    Responsibilities

    + Project Management:

    + Lead and manage land development projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.

    + Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.

    + Coordinate with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies to ensure project objectives are met.

    + Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or risks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.

    + Prepare and present project updates and reports to clients and stakeholders.

    + Design and Engineering:

    + Utilize Civil3D software to design and prepare engineering plans, profiles, and details for land development projects.

    + Conduct engineering calculations and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards.

    + Prepare and review design documents, including grading plans, utility plans, drainage plans, and erosion control plans.

    + Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize project designs and achieve project goals.

    + Regulatory Compliance:

    + Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals for land development projects.

    + Ensure project designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning, stormwater management, and environmental requirements.

    + Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure project compliance.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

    + Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development projects.

    + Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

    + Proficiency in using Civil3D software for design and engineering.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies.

    + Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to land development.

    + Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months.

    Salary Range:

    $100,000 - $170,000
