Overview
Data Analyst/ Power BI Developer:
Data Analyst/ Power BI Developer will lead modernization efforts within the Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD), focusing on transforming legacy systems and processes into efficient, data-driven solutions. This role involves hands-on development using Microsoft Power Platform tools, implementation of knowledge management strategies, and active engagement with stakeholders to ensure solutions align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
+ Lead initiatives to modernize SAMD’s technical infrastructure by improving existing systems and processes for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
+ Design, develop, and implement solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Power BI to support projects such as performance metrics and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case development and execution.
+ Leverage Microsoft Copilot 365 to streamline documentation, reporting, and productivity workflows, integrating AI capabilities into business processes.
+ Actively engage with stakeholders to gather business requirements, define project objectives, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
+ Represent SAMD in working group meetings and collaborate with external points of contact (POCs) who are developing related systems or tools.
+ Create custom applications and workflows using Power Apps and Power Automate to streamline internal processes such as dashboard requirement collection and routine data tasks.
+ Design, build, and maintain dashboards and data visualizations to improve access to key metrics and decision-making tools.
+ Develop and execute knowledge management strategies to capture, organize, and disseminate institutional knowledge, ensuring it remains current, accessible, and actionable.
+ Prepare and conduct briefings for personnel on dashboard usage, providing training and support to ensure successful adoption.
+ Brief senior leadership on new digital tools and dashboards to ensure alignment with organizational strategy and drive informed decision-making.
+ Prepare for and oversee the integration of a closed network AI system into SAMD’s operations once available.
+ Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree (preferred) and 2–5 years of relevant experience with Power Platform or Application Development or an additional 3-5 (5-8 total) years of relevant experience, and specialized skills in AI and Microsoft 365 Copilot integration.
+ Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate).
+ Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot 365, including integrating AI tools into daily workstreams.
+ Proven track record of digital transformation or process improvement initiatives.
+ Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
+ Experience in knowledge management and dashboard development.
+ Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Physical Demands:
+ Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
+ Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
+ Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
