    Director of Marketing and Business Development- NYC 200k.

     

    The Director of Marketing and Business Development Director will play a critical role in supporting firm-wide Business Development and Marketing activities in addition to supervising the the Senior Marketing and Business Development Specialist.

     

    The ideal candidate will have minimum ten years of law firm, Intellectual Property preferred or professional services business development experience. In addition to being a pro-active self-starter with a positive can-do attitude who is highly organized, takes ownership of projects, is resourceful and has strong management skills. This position includes “face time” opportunities and building relationships with attorneys across the firm.

    Key Business Development Responsibilities:

    + Develop a deep knowledge of the firm's attorneys, clients, experience, and capabilities.

    + Coordinate with lawyers to develop individual business development plans, schedule regular touch points, networking, and other related activities and meetings.

    + Take ownership of CRM database and supervise data entry tracking of all business development activities (pre and post pitch activities, etc.) to CRM.

    + Assist partners with managing their contacts, including staying top-of-mind with key contacts, tracking, and organizing the partners’ ongoing efforts.

    + Work with Senior Partners to develop and produce client-facing materials related to pursuing new business including pitches, presentations and client meeting materials.

    + Track matters and maintain materials such as pitches, proposals, lawyer profiles, annual directory submissions and similar materials.

    + Track ROI for all business development activities.

    + Identify opportunities for thought leadership and other marketing and campaign ideas to increase brand awareness.

    + **Qualifications**

    + Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in Marketing, or related field and experience (IP experience is a plus).

    + Minimum ten years experience in Marketing/ Business Development.

    + Ability to think critically and analytically, creative problem-solving skills, and exhibit sound judgment.

    + Effective interpersonal and team working skills to interface daily with Senior Partners and upper management .

    + Ability to direct and manage multiple projects simultaneously as well as manage workload and prioritize projects accordingly.

    + CRM experience required (ContactEase experience is a plus).

    + Hybrid schedule 3 days on-site, salary 200K. Bonus eligible .
