The Reliability Engineer will report to the Hardware Reliability Manager and will be responsible for running internal tests and monitoring external reliability tests. The Reliability Engineer will be working in an independent environment and should be self-motivated while maintaining high levels of productivity. This position will work cross-functionally supporting the engineering and quality departments to help identify reliability issues. The Reliability Engineer will need to collaborate cross-departmentally as well as ensure deadlines and timelines are met and projected appropriately.

JOB DUTIES:

+ Conduct routine HALT/HASS/ALT testing

+ Conduct statistical analysis and planning

+ Write, review, and approve reliability test plans including modeling and predictions

+ Execute root cause failure analysis and provide design improvement recommendations

+ Serve as a resource to cross functional teams during periods of intensive testing regarding the specifications and test plans to confirm that delivered products have met the specification desired

+ Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution while recommending improvements

+ Consult with development teams and manufacturing partners to address reliability issues

+ Effectively communicate defect and root cause information to engineering, customers/dealers, tech support and suppliers

YOU MUST HAVE:

+ 2+ years experience at a Test Engineer

+ Proven knowledge of product design, reliability and validation techniques

+ Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical products

+ Demonstrated experience compiling and analyzing statistical data

WE VALUE:

+ Programming experience (python and bash preferable).

+ Previous use of reliability and data analysis tools (Weibull, R, etc.)

+ Understanding of Ethernet, Wi-Fi and ZigBee networking
