Job Summary and Qualifications
Support Ocala Health’s hallmarks of service excellence and quality for all job responsibilities. To assist the Quality department with the coordination of the hospital wide quality assessment and improvement activities, which include but not limited to, quality improvement projects, data analysis, regulatory readiness and compliance, and education as needed. Works across multiple areas in Quality (patient safety, infection prevention, data analytics and reporting, performance improvement, etc.
+ Consistently deliver the best in customer service and patient care. As a team member, demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with patients, families, visitors and other employees.
+ Champion Ocala Health’s mission, vision and values; comply with the policies and procedures, ethical standards and code of conduct set forth by the company.
+ The Clinical Quality Specialist, under the Direction of the VP, assists with achieving the goals of QA program through data analysis, reporting, improvement activities, etc.
+ The position requires knowledge of Medical and Surgical Quality Assessment and Improvement activities, medical terminology, Joint Commission and CMS standards for QA. Essential responsibilities include: the ability to retrieve, communicate, and present data in a professional verbal or written format.
+ It also requires the ability to work with physicians and staff in an educational manner to increase adherence to the aforementioned standards. This includes, but is not limited to the involvement in inter-departmental meetings and Clinical Quality Council/Patient Safety meeting.
+ The position is also responsible for reporting PI data in adherence to corporate, Joint Commission and CMS standards through the COMET and CHOIS systems.
+ Assists with the operations of the Quality Department and reports at least monthly as to the status of data reporting and progress in meeting goals and timeframes.
+ Manages and analyzes data and assists in the preparation and reporting to Hospital Committees as requested.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned by the Quality VP.
What qualifications you will need:
+ Bachelors Degree
+ CPHQ or CIC (within 2 years of hire)
+ 2 years of relevant clinical quality experience
+ Master’s preferred
+ 3+ years of clinical quality experience preferred
