The Boeing Company is currently seeking a **Senior Contract Management Specialist** to join the Electronics & Intelligence Systems (E&IS) group within Boeing Defense, Space and Security in **Herndon, VA** .
The position is considered a hybrid position but requires significant on-site presence. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, exercise sound business judgement, and offer strategic recommendations to effectively manage risk, and build strong customer relationships to ensure the continued success of the business.
Position Responsibilities:
+ Exercises appropriate signature authority, oversees and participates with a strategic perspective in negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of E&IS products, and services
+ Prepares, negotiates, executes, interprets and administers legally binding contractual agreements for The Boeing Company
+ Summarizes highly complex contractual issues, oversees and consults on the development of creative solutions and coordination of contractual risk mitigation
+ Represents the company in external negotiations to a broad set of customers including but not limited to the U.S. Government (USG), international, commercial entities, and public/private institutions
+ Coordinates flow-down and flow-up of prime terms and conditions with supplier management
+ Facilitates prompt payment and support the achievement of company financial goals and objectives
+ Ensures strategic alignment and partnership with other internal functional disciplines
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
+ Ability to obtain a Full Scope Polygraph
+ Bachelor’s Degree or higher
+ 10+ years of experience developing, negotiating and executing complex USG contracts and subcontracts under USG primes
+ 10+ years of experience building, developing and maintaining customer relationships
+ 10+ years of experience working with acquisition policies, e.g., USG Federal Acquisition Regulation/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (FAR/DFARS)regulations
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
+ Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
+ Experience with both competitive and non-competitive proposal development
+ Ability to perform with a significant amount of autonomy and exercise good judgment in determining objectives and approaches to assignments
+ Ability to advise all levels of management on contractual rights and obligations, risk avoidance and mitigation, strategy, and problem solving
+ Ability to mentor and guide less experienced personnel

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $130,050 – $175,950

Security Clearance
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post-Start is required.
