The Boeing Company is currently seeking a **Senior Network Designer** to join the team in **Everett, WA; Berkeley, MO; North Charleston, SC;** or **Renton, WA** .
Boeing Information Technology (IT) Network Infrastructure Services is currently looking for a Local Area Network (LAN) Designer to join our global team. This position will focus on creation and maintenance of network infrastructure in our manufacturing, service, and office locations around the globe.
A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with IT Business Partners and stakeholders to implement and maintain communications and network systems enabling the business to meet their organizational and program goals.
Position Responsibilities:
+ Leads and performs the identification, analysis, and documentation of requirements for network LAN technologies and services (e.g., wireless, data, voice, video, cable, wire) based on customer goals, objectives, cost and security constraints, to lead the design process
+ Works collaboratively with other stakeholders (Transport, Transport, Metropolitan Area Network (MAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN), Structured Cabling, Project Manager, etc.) in focused, agile-inspired sprint teams
+ Provide oversight and consultation of work intake processes backlog and execution of requests, coordinating with IT Business leaders, Product Owners and ScrumMasters
+ Creates and documents designs that conform to architectural and security standards to meet customer requirements, using design templates and standard implementation packages
+ Prepares, deploys, and coordinates installation of complex implementation packages per Boeing standards
+ Provides Level 3 Incident/Problem Management support in preventative, proactive and reactive maintenance to meet service restoration and network availability objectives, using network analysis and monitoring tools
+ Supports and participates in component research to provide input for more comprehensive evaluation
+ Leads and performs implementation planning for tactical multi-technology insertion projects, using established project management methodologies for the purpose of controlling costs and ensuring adherence to project plan
+ Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
+ 5+ years of experience with Design, Implementation and Troubleshooting of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN)
+ 5+ years of experience with Cisco routers and switches & Cisco IOS implementations
+ 5+ years of experience leading network security infrastructure projects (routers, switches, firewalls, access control lists)
+ 5+ years of experience in developing presentations, integrating technical & non-technical content
+ Ability to support after-hours change windows and implementations
+ Willing to cover on call shifts, including weekends and after hours
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
+ CCNA, CCNP or other Cisco Certification
+ Experience with Juniper next generation firewall systems
+ Experience Network Provided Operational Technology (OT) level devices (i.e. NAT routers, Work Group Bridges, etc.)
+ Experience with Palo Alto next generation firewall systems

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $113,900 – $164,450
