The research intern will predominately work on retrospective research studies pertaining to the outcomes of joint arthroplasty surgeries. They will play an integral role in data collection, review, analysis and scholarly writing, with the goal of completing at least two projects during the summer. The focus of the research will be on clinical and functional outcomes after primary and total hip and knee arthroplasty. In particular, we are working on creating a large CSMC database of joint arthroplasties treated for infection, and investigating treatment and results—the intern will share a role in the establishment of this database.
Role Activities & Timeline

Weeks 1-2: Orientation and overview of the arthroplasty research area, completion of IRB training, development of research project.
Week: 2-6: Literature search, data collection
Week 6-8: Data analysis and draft manuscript writing
