Department Summary

Our Facilities team oversees the offices we call home. They ensure our teams can connect, collaborate and innovate in a space built to support their success. From securing our campuses to making sure our events go off without a hitch, Facilities is the human face of our company’s well-oiled onsite operation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

+ Supervise employees who are responsible for the maintenance and security of the organization’s buildings and grounds

+ Schedules maintenance and monitors the emergency power systems

+ Supervises all daily janitorial and maintenance services

+ Supervise Security functions and personnel

+ Manages all improvement projects, interdepartmental moves, building services, and third party contractors.

+ Trains and instructs employees on the proper use of equipment

+ Performs role of manager by scheduling employees, approving OT, monitoring performance, and takes disciplinary action as needed

+ Responsible for budgeting, tracking, and controlling departmental expenses

+ Directly responsible for exempt/non-exempt staff. Responsible for the performance of subordinates; makes recommendations to superiors regarding hiring, termination decisions, training and discipline

+ Other duties as required; this list is not meant to be a comprehensive inventory of all duties and responsibilities assigned to this position

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

+ High School diploma or equivalent.

+ Must have 2 or more years of facilities management experience in a commercial setting or related role.

+ 2 or more years dealing with preventative maintenance and repairs .

+ Experience in construction Preferred but not required.

Skills and Qualifications:

+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating/maintenance/procedure instructions

+ Ability to work alongside facilities staff on projects such as moves, buildouts, etc

+ Has a basic understanding on how to use hand and power tools.

+ Has a basic understanding of general HVAC, electrical, and plumbing workings, maintenance, and repair.

+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

+ Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

+ Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume

+ Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

+ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

+ Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Physical Demands:

+ Must be able to lift up to 30lbs

+ Able to sit/stand for long periods of time

+ Must be able to climb stairs, bend, work with ladders, ETC.

+ Facilities Manager will also be required to perform the following duties such as but not limited to the following, furniture builds and relocations, minor plumbing, electrical, as well as carpentry.

+ Candidates must also have knowledge and experience in the usage of power tools such as drills, saws, hammers,sanders, etc.

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $54,650.00/Year - $78,100.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
