Position Details
Position Overview
TheGeorgia IDD Program Directorprovides statewide leadership and oversight for the implementation and operation of the NOW and COMP Medicaid waiver programs across all GA locations. These programs deliver skilled nursing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
The Director serves as the Agency Director and credentialed Developmental Disability Professional (DDP), ensuring alignment with all federal, state, and agency regulations. This role includes comprehensive program oversight, policy development, compliance management, and staff leadership. The Director is also responsible for ROCI (Reporting of Critical Incidents) access and review, including submission attestation as the Executive Reviewing Manager.
Salary Range: $85,000 – $95,000
Essential Job Functions
+ Collaborate with Pediatric Services of America/Aveanna Healthcare leadership, DBHDD Regional Boards, GA Collaborative/ASO, Support Coordinators, CSBs, and other key stakeholders.
+ Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Regional Service Administrators (RSAs), Planning List Administrators (PLAs), and Case Expeditors across all six DBHDD regions.
+ Guide locations in applying for individual Medicaid provider numbers and in developing NOW and COMP waiver programs.
+ Assist in creating and renewing Letters of Agreement (LOAs) with regional offices following provider number approvals.
+ Provide ongoing oversight and support for implementing Quality Improvement (QI) standards across the IDD program.
+ Participate in internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions as needed.
+ Lead training initiatives to enhance the skills and qualifications of DDP and clinical oversight staff.
+ Identify and credential multi-disciplinary teams, including DDPs and RNs, for assessments and documentation related to enhanced support requests.
+ Help develop measurable outcomes to monitor program effectiveness and service delivery.
+ Represent the organization in relevant statewide and regional meetings, including those with DBHDD and Support Coordination teams (travel required).
+ Report regularly to the Regional Vice President on program updates, challenges, and performance metrics.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or a related human services field
+ At leastsix (6) yearsof clinical experience serving individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities
+ Minimumtwo (2) yearsof supervisory or leadership experience
+ Current GA Collaborative ASO credentialing as a Developmental Disability Professional (DDP)
+ Meet all criteria for Agency Director under DBHDD NOW and COMP waiver program requirements
+ Valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
+ Familiarity with Georgia Medicaid waiver programs, specifically NOW and COMP

+ Proficient in training and supervising staff across various locations
Physical & Environmental Requirements
+ Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English
+ Regular travel required (company does not provide transportation)
+ Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
+ Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and stair climbing
+ Must have adequate visual and auditory acuity, as well as a strong sense of smell and touch
+ Must be able to respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations, including those in home or transport settings
+ Must be able to work in varied environments, potentially with allergens, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases
