Job Title: Civil Quality Assurance TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking dedicated Civil Quality Assurance (CQA) Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will travel to various landfill sites to meticulously document daily activities and verify the accuracy of work performed by general contractors. You will be responsible for preparing comprehensive daily reports and participating in regular meetings.
Responsibilities
+ Monitor and document construction activities at solid waste landfill facilities, including field inspection and testing of soils and geosynthetic liners.
+ Ensure compliance with all applicable project specifications and construction drawings.
+ Utilize strong communication, writing, and organizational skills to effectively perform duties.
+ Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
+ Demonstrate initiative and self-motivation in daily tasks.
+ Travel extensively with expenses covered for out-of-town assignments.
+ Commit to working 6-7 days per week with potential for significant overtime during construction season.
Essential Skills
+ Familiarity with construction specifications.
+ Ability to write detailed daily and weekly reports.
+ Attention to detail.
+ Willingness to travel and spend extended periods away from home.
+ Strong communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Nuclear Gauge/density certification.
+ Experience in landfill construction.
+ Associate's degree in a relevant field.
+ ACI Certification.
Work Environment
This position involves outdoor work at various landfill locations, often in challenging weather conditions including extreme heat in summer and cold in winter. Candidates must be prepared for physical demands, including standing for long hours during 8-10 hour workdays. Travel primarily occurs within Kentucky and occasionally to neighboring states.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
