    Job Description:

    As a Job Captain, you will play a crucial role in executing BIM and 2D CAD drawing assignments with precision and clarity. You will collaborate with the team to prepare construction drawings for educational projects, ensuring they meet all necessary standards and regulations. Your responsibilities will also include submitting projects to DSA and local jurisdictions, as well as investigating building codes, materials, and design methods to ensure the highest quality of work.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Project Support: Provide comprehensive support to Project Managers and Managing Principal Architects on K-12 projects.

    + Drawing Assignments: Execute BIM and 2D CAD drawing assignments with precision and clarity.

    + Collaboration: Work closely with the team to prepare construction drawings for educational projects.

    + Regulatory Submissions: Submit projects to DSA and local jurisdictions.

    + Research: Investigate building codes, materials, and design methods to ensure compliance and innovation.

    Essential Skills:

    + Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Construction Document experience.

    + Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Revit, 2D CAD drawing, Word, and Excel.

    + Project Management: Experience with project management and execution.

    + Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction administration, drafting, and construction drawings.

    + Familiarity: Experience with educational projects.

    + Attributes: Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented.

    + Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills.

    + Computer Skills: General proficiency with either Windows or Macintosh operating systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    + Education: High School Diploma with some college required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    + Software Skills: Experience with SketchUp and BIM is a plus.

    + Industry Experience: Experience in healthcare, hospitality, and production is advantageous.

    Work Environment:

    Our work environment is clean, air-conditioned, and friendly. Teams are separated by projects and led by an Associate Principal. The team size varies depending on the project, ranging from 1-5 people. The role requires minimal travel, with job walks being supervised or accompanied. Travel and mileage are reimbursed. Employees are required to be in the office full-time for the first month. After 30 days, 2 work-from-home days are allowed at their discretion. Office hours are Monday to Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $66000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
