We are seeking a dedicated Geospatial Analyst for a fully remote position. Preferred candidates will have experience directly supporting geospatial projects for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). A Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field with multiple GIS courses or equivalent GIS experience is required. Candidates must be U.S. citizens.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct imagery analysis and extract topographic features such as roads, rivers, and buildings from satellite imagery.
+ Perform digital mapping and feature data extraction tasks within estimated hours and meet quality standards.
+ Collaborate with remote team members and communicate effectively to achieve project goals.
+ Support various geospatial projects, including TDS, MGCP, MUVD, and Conflation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in geospatial and cartography techniques.
+ Experience with feature data extraction from satellite imagery.
+ Strong communication skills for remote teamwork.
+ Ability to work efficiently in a production environment with goals for quality and timeliness.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Janus Geography contract and digital mapping projects.
+ Knowledge of Esri products and GIS software.
+ Prior involvement in mapping and supporting specific project numbers.
Work Environment
This position is 100% fully remote and currently funded through 2026. Team members are required to use their personal computers to access assigned workstations. The role involves extensive computer work, sitting in front of a computer while analyzing imagery and mapping topographic features.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
