    OVERVIEW

    The University of St. Thomas invites qualified, current employees to apply for a Cook I position.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Provide assistance in the food preparation of meals in back-of-house or front-of-house operations

    + Interact with customers and prepare customized, made-to-order menu items in a high-volume environment

    + Prep food throughout shift and assist all culinary staff in completing prep sheet

    + Set up/close down open line workstation for service

    + Follow ServSafe food handling guidelines and maintain a clean work station

     

    Shift would be: Afternoon/Evenings

     

    This position works a flexible schedule based on business needs and could include nights and weekends.

     

    Pay Rate: $19.00 an hour

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + At least one to two years of experience in short order food preparation and/or volume cooking

    + Successful completion of a criminal background check is a condition of employment for all Dining Services positions
