We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Finance Manager III to join the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in San Diego, CA reporting to the Corporate Senior FP&A Manager.

This role will play a critical part in advancing our financial strategy through data-driven insights, advanced modeling, system enhancements, and innovation in analytics. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), financial modeling & analysis, and enterprise systems, as well as a forward-looking mindset toward emerging technologies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ General Responsibilities:
+ Work cross functionally to help ensure efficient business processes, strong operational results, and improve financial insights into the business groups. Coordination and liaison with Finance and Accounting departments. Monitor/update controls and procedures to ensure quality and reliability of financial information and reporting.
+ Financial Modeling & Analysis
+ Provide strategic financial analysis and modeling to support corporate development activities, including mergers, acquisitions, and other growth initiatives in collaboration with senior leadership.
+ Financial Analytics Design & Reporting
+ Design and implement scalable financial analytics processes and dashboard reporting using project management principles to drive visibility, efficiency, and data integrity.
+ Systems Strategy & Enhancements
+ Support the strategic roadmap for financial enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and lead finance-driven initiatives to enhance system performance and integration.
+ KPI Development & Reporting Optimization
+ Define, refine, and enhance financial KPIs and reporting frameworks in collaboration with GA&A team to support better decision-making across the organization.
+ Drive Innovative Financial Solutions
+ Develop and implement scalable financial solutions that leverage leading edge technology (i.e., artificial intelligence, machine learning, Power BI, etc.) to automate workflows and enhance reporting and forecasting accuracy.

Job Qualifications:
+ Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline and eleven or more years of progressively complex experience in finance/accounting/financial planning & analysis.
+ Prefer at least five of those years in management leading a team of individual contributors.
+ Must have experience in a commercial or government contractor environment. Equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
+ An MBA in business or related field, CPA or CMA certification, and/or experience negotiating accounting issues with government agencies is highly desirable.
+ Must demonstrate a detailed application of industry and government finance/accounting/financial planning & analysis management principles and practices as well as comprehensive finance/accounting/financial planning & analysis leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones.
+ Must be able to resolve complex management and finance/accounting/financial planning & analysis problems; serve as spokesperson on projects and/or programs; and be an expert in one or more finance/accounting/financial planning & analysis management areas.
+ Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required.
+ Must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment, and able to work extended hours and travel as required.
