Location/Division Specific Information
The Clinical Trails Division (CTD) partners with pharmaceutical and biotech customers around the world to ensure patients get the right therapies in the right doses at the right time - a concept that we internally embrace as "There is a Patient Waiting.” CTD is a critical part of the 17,000 employees and 55 sites that make up the Pharma Services Group (PSG) providing industry leading end-to-end capabilities and solutions to support the drug development journey.
How you will make an impact:
As the Site Engineer you will be a motivator for continuous improvement and a driver for special projects focused on growth, new services, and business continuity. As a champion for change, you will bring flexibility and efficiency to our processes and deliver projects with speed and excellence, creating value for both our employees and our clients!
What will you do?
+ Increase efficiency and improve processes on the production floor by collaborating with Operations to enhance the way we work.
+ Build, implement, improve and sustain efficient process flows in a high-mix production environment.
+ Identify and recommend technical investments, focused on streamlining processes and improving throughput.
+ Train, mentor, and develop Engineering and Operations personnel to embrace and own a continuous improvement (lean) mentality to reduce waste and remove barriers, including “coaching up” to site Senior Leadership.
+ Lead all aspects of equipment and facility focused projects including financial justification, project planning, vendor management, build/installation and validation.
+ Develop, update, and own documentation, such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, validation (IQ, OQ, PQ), and quality records to ensure compliance with our Quality Management System.
How you will get here:
Education
+ Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
Experience
+ 3 years experience implementing process improvement efforts with a history of success
+ Proven track record in a manufacturing setting; experience with automated equipment preferred
+ Project management experience highly preferred
Equivalency: Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
+ Knowledge of GMP regulations, Quality Management Systems, and workplace safety standards.
+ Proficient in process improvement and/or Industrial Engineering methods such as lean six sigma and practical process improvement.
+ Ability to lead several aspects of multiple projects at one time including partners, resources, budget, and commitments.
+ The ability to master processing equipment and train others to do the same.
+ Experience writing and constructing documentation.
+ Financial acuity, with the ability to develop an argument and rationalize an investment.
+ Effective communicator (verbal, written, presentation) with ability to work across multiple departments and functions and develop strong organizational and client relationships.
+ Computer proficiency with the ability to learn and master technical software. Skilled in the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $90,000.00–$130,000.00.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
