Basic Qualifications:

+ High School Education or GED equivalency.

+ 1 year Machine Shop Operations experience.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

+ Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools and measuring devices (i.e. - dial calipers, rulers, tape measures, protractors, micrometers, gauges, etc.) as required within department.

+ Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation

+ Prior working knowledge of machine shop operations

+ Operate CNC equipment.

+ Operate any type and size of single spindle or multiple spindles on a variety of operations (drilling, reaming, boring, tapping, spot facing, countersinking, etc)

+ Use all tools, jigs, fixtures, and gages necessary to perform operations.

+ Work with close tolerances and fine finishes

+ Perform tool offset and load parts.

+ Perform job responsibilities according to internal process specifications and third-party requirements.

+ Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures.

+ Participate in team initiatives.

+ Receive guidance from experienced employees.

+ Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach.

+ Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.

+ Participate in and support team initiatives.

+ Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures per position requirements.

+ Understand and abides by the GE Leadership behaviors.

+ Other duties as be required.

Desired Qualifications:

+ 1-3 years machine shop experience in a manufacturing environment

+ Education and/or training in machine shop operations

+ Experience in a self-directed team environment

+ Familiarity with 5S & lean manufacturing knowledge.

Physical demands:

+ Ability to continuously use hands and fingers in repetition.

+ Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, twist, crouch, squat, climb, and/or balance. • Ability to continuously sit; ability to occasionally lift to 20 lbs.; ability to push/pull up to 22 lbs.

The pay for this position is $21.6/hour. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 6/30/25.
