    Responsibilities

    Key Accountabilities:

    + Apply knowledge of engineering and physical science principles, materials, and tools in a collaborative environment to develop, integrate, document and evaluate flight vehicle structure designs for performance, functional adequacy, cost effectiveness, manufacturability, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements

    + Areas of expertise may include primary and secondary structure design

    + Candidates are expected to perform as individual contributors within a team environment

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    + Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related engineering course of study from an ABET accredited program

    + Requires educational credentials meeting the Spirit classification standards for engineers and typically 0 to 1 year of full-time experience in a design engineering classification / position

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + GPA of 3.0 or higher

    + Experience with CATIA V5, 3DX , NX, or similar software/programs

    + Demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment

    + Working knowledge of aerospace industry practices and standards

    + Advanced thinking and problem-solving ability

    + Excellent written and oral communication skills

    + Excellent interpersonal skills

    + Strong analytical and organizational skills
