    Required Experience: Two-year technical or junior college degree or equivalent work experience (four years). In addition to education or education equivalent, requires work experience in general business administration, operations, or related area; 4-5 years, with at least one year of previous procurement experience.

     

    Work Authorization:   Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A. for any employer.

     

    Estimated Salary: $64,260- $76,500

    Job Description

    The Vendor Consultant will provide vendor consulting services to WVUS staff who have purchasing and contract needs that are of moderate to high complexity and are valued up to $2,000,000. Consult and advise business owners on procurement administration, contract management strategy, organizational policies and procedures, in order for the business owner to make a well informed, value oriented decision. Collaborate with WVUS subject matter experts and other stakeholders to ensure the organization's goals and objectives are met and risk is mitigated. Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.

     

    Your Responsibilities Will Include

     

    Keep Christ central in our individual and corporate lives. Attend and participate in the leadership of devotions, weekly Chapel services, and regular prayer.

     

    Serve as Vendor Contract Services representative to multiple WVUS departments, utilizing understanding of business needs and procurement best practices, regulatory issues, and WVUS policy requirements to partner with business owners and determine how best to meet their purchasing needs.

     

    Provide vendor sourcing, selection, evaluation, and contract negotiation services to business owners.

     

    Collaborate with Legal, Finance, other subject matter experts, and key stakeholders in vetting contracts, while meeting business owners expectations, and protecting WVUS interests.

     

    Communicate WVUS purchasing policies and procedures and purchasing best practices to business units.

     

    May hire, fire, train, counsel, evaluate, and recommend salary increases and promotions for those under direct supervision.

     

    Perform other duties as assigned.

     

    Keep informed of organizational announcements, activities and changes via regular reading of the WVUS Intranet and other corporate communication tools.

    Contract Management: Demonstrates knowledge of aspects of contract management, including contract negotiation, schedule and contract requirements, and supplier evaluation.

     

    Procurement Expertise: Assess client needs; research, gather and synthesize information on suppliers, products and services; evaluate proposals; and develop recommendations. Resolve differences, develop solutions and incorporate contract changes.

    Salary Range & Benefits

     

    WVUS Pay Grade Level: 222

     

    Expected hiring range: $64,260- $76,500

     

    The full salary range for this role is $61,200- $91,800.

     

    This range applies to locations with a market similar to our Washington D.C. and Seattle-area office.   A different range may apply based on your work location.

     

    Job offers are based on relevant qualifications and pay equity.
