Job Title: Facilities/Equipment Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Equipment Engineer with a proven track record in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex electrical, mechanical, and unique tool failures associated with semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The role involves working with photolithography and etching process equipment. As the main point of contact for the Production and Process Engineering teams, you will collaborate with engineers, technicians, facilities maintenance technicians, and supervisors to enhance documentation, methods, and parts inventory, mitigating extended downtime scenarios. You will work alongside Facilities management to source and secure critical spares to extend the life of production tools. This position requires expertise in dismantling, adjusting, repairing, and assembling equipment based on schematics, blueprints, drawings, and manuals. You will manage small projects, train maintenance staff, and work independently. Your role will include developing and implementing improvements to enhance reliability, performance, and supportability of equipment and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve electrical, mechanical, and tool failures in semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
+ Act as the main contact for Production and Process Engineering teams to improve documentation and inventory.
+ Collaborate with Facilities management to source and secure necessary spares for production tools.
+ Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment using schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
+ Manage small projects and train maintenance staff.
+ Develop and implement reliability and performance improvements for process equipment.
+ Utilize tool failure metrics like MTBF and MTTR to enhance maintenance programs.
+ Work in ISO Class 4 cleanroom and facility equipment rooms.
+ Lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities like standing, walking, kneeling, and crawling.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
+ 5 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 3 years with a Master's degree in manufacturing or aerospace and defense industry.
+ 7-10 years of equivalent experience, including trade school, military background , or OEM training.
+ Knowledgeable in operational theory and repair of semiconductor process equipment.
+ Proven technical writing, maintenance, and PM documentation/work instruction skills.
+ Experience in mechanical design, statics, and machining requirements.
+ Self-starter with ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
+ Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiar with Business Case analysis.
+ Excellent engineering documentation and communication skills.
+ Ability to obtain a secret clearance; U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in using key tool failure metrics like MTBF and MTTR.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams on moderately complex projects.
Work Environment
The role involves working in an ISO Class 4 cleanroom and facility equipment rooms. The environment requires physical activities such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $73.00 - $73.00/hr.
