    Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

    Job Description

    Aerotek is hiring immediately Diesel Mechanic for a commercial construction company. This position will involve maintenance on CDL trucks, and various heavy machinery; excavators, loaders, dozers, back-hoes, etc. Company work truck will be offered in this role. This position is full time offering competitive pay and benefits!

     

    Monday to Friday (7am-3:30pm)

    Responsibilities

    + Service and oversee repairs of all types of equipment at the job site.

    + Conduct preventive maintenance.

    + Perform safety inspections on equipment.

    + Maintain a safe shop work environment and company vehicle.

    + Adhere to all company, governmental, and equipment-related safety requirements.

    + Perform other duties assigned by the manager.

    Essential Skills

    + Heavy equipment

    + Diesel

    + Hydraulics

    + Traveling Mechanic

    + 5+ years as a road mechanic

    + Basic Hand Tools

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 4+ years' experience as a mechanic with diesel equipment, hydraulics, and welding

    + Trade school or technical training desirable - experience with Cat, Kenworth, and Komatsu

    + DOT Physical Examination (Medical card) along with Hydraulics License required

    + CDL License would be helpful

    + Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment problems

    + Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

    + Must be physically able to work in extreme conditions on job sites

    + On-call and some overtime work

     

    Work Environment

     

    You will work 40-50 hours a week. You will have a company truck for this opportunity.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
