HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSION
The Research Laboratory Manager is responsible for a research laboratory and conducts assigned laboratory activities in specialized areas of biological and/or social science. This position reports to a Manager level or higher in the Conservation Science & Wildlife Health department.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
+ Responsible for oversight of employees in operation of a research laboratory.
+ Develop, update, oversee, and conduct related procedures in support of organizational and departmental goals and objectives.
+ Generate, document, summarize and prepare data for presentations and/or publications.
+ Ensure integrity of the management of laboratory records.
+ Ensure laboratory facility and equipment are properly maintained.
+ Ensure that laboratories maintain compliance with local and federal guidelines.
+ Oversee quality assurance and safety practices.
+ Responsible for adherence to departmental budget.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Professional lab experience in gamete physiology, cryopreservation and record keeping is highly preferred.
JOB EXPERIENCE
+ Two or more years of experience in a biological research laboratory required.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
+ Bachelor's Degree in biological science or a related field or equivalent specialized training required.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
+ Knowledge of laboratory operations.
+ Knowledge of data management best practices.
+ Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
+ Knowledge of Quality Assurance best practices.
+ Able to operate moderately complex computer software programs.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage highly effective, diverse teams.

+ Salary Range: $68,640 to $71,640
