What You Will Learn:
In this role, you will learn to develop and deliver engaging training programs for retail sales teams across various formats (classroom, virtual, and point-of-sale) for 13 prestigious brands, including Lancôme, Kiehl's, IT Cosmetics, Urban Decay, Armani, YSL, Valentino, Prada, Viktor & Rolf, Mugler, Azzaro, Maison Margiela, and Ralph Lauren. You'll gain experience in improving sell-out and retail excellence, aligning with brand and distribution channel strategies. Furthermore, you'll learn to train and develop counter personnel and beauty advisors, focusing on long-term growth and development. Additionally, you will gain expertise in in-store seasonal planning and execution for several key brands (IDC, IT Cosmetics, Urban Decay, Giorgio Armani Cosmetics, YSL Beauty, Kiehl’s, and all Luxe fragrances). This role also offers the opportunity to develop leadership skills, overseeing retail excellence in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Islands, and supervising a Retail Excellence Supervisor. You'll be working closely and receiving strategic guidance from the Luxe Commercial Lead Director, providing valuable exposure to senior leadership.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Provide training and coaching for beauty advisors (BAs), counter managers (CMs) and generic staff (G.S.) that is aligned with brand/POS/Retail Education priorities (In-person & virtual)
+ Schedule, coordinate and deliver training sessions with retailers
+ Be expert on brand values, history, DNA, products, ingredients and services.
+ Ensure new BAs receive a basic training on brand scope.
+ Provide cross-training to all L’Oréal BAs.
+ Deliver branded training sessions to all retail staffing (exclusive, multi-brand, generic, promoter).
+ Adapt training assets based on BA type (exclusive, multi-brand) and market trends. Identify skill development needs and opportunities across an assigned area of curriculum.
+ Develops and implements sales optimization and retail excellence strategies, while adhering to assigned budget.
+ Develops and motivate all counter personnel and freelancers through education programs and e-Learning training programs.
+ Assure we have the best talent at all counters through systematic talent assessment. Hire and source counter personnel/beauty advisors. Assure National Retailer’s store coverage for all Luxe brands thru effective partnership with the Master Service Provider (MSP) or recruitment agencies.
+ Works with Marketing team to optimize sales and implements company-wide initiatives for Puerto Rico and Caribbean Islands.
+ Monitor counter quality and merchandising standards, including visuals, cleanliness, and other needs.
+ Arrange and spearhead seasonal meetings. Prepare and carry out seasonal retailer presentations. Participate in and/or organize retailer meetings.
+ Responsible for: hiring, training, developing, motivating and performance management of a Retail Excellence Supervisor to achieve division goals, and achieve personal developmental goals and objectives.
What We Are Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field required.
+ Years of Experience: Minimum seven (7) years of experience of retail management and corporate training role. People management experience a plus.
+ Language : Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English)
+ Job Specific Experience/Skills:
+ Experience in a sales/education related position in the field and/or in corporate office. Strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
+ Strong knowledge of the business landscape and ability to translate findings to positively impact business. Analytical in approach to identifying opportunities Must effectively monitor, analyze, interpret, and communicate business information.
+ Strong merchandising skills and proven leader in designing and implementation of traffic driving initiatives.
+ Proven experience working on collaborative projects involving other functions. Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and business partners.
+ Must possess strong communication, presentation and organizational skills.
+ Takes initiative, focuses on customers, improves business performance, develops a vision.
+ Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Power Point and business applications.
+ Travel: 50% of time on the field. Includes up to 25% travel of the time to attend business meetings and/or visits to the Caribbean Islands.
