Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities

+ Repair and maintenance of dies within a timely manner

+ Ensure tools are ready according to production schedule

+ Monitor production status of dies

+ Drive quality improvements of tools based on changeover times hits/hour, and quality.

+ Order spare parts and Tool components,

+ Meet with outside Die shops and obtains quotes for any work to be sub-contracted.

+ Address employee suggestions as required and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Keeps management informed daily - no surprises.

+ Comply with all ISO14001 TS16949 standards.

+ Reviews requirement and monitors daily quality status of production tooling to ensure total defect free shipments.

+ Performs customer visits as required.

+ Ensures equipment breakdowns and downtime is dealt with immediately.

+ Coordinate implement and monitor effectiveness of all initiatives generated to improve productivity, safety, and report back when done and any other duties that may be assigned.

+ Maintains timely records and information

+ Performs all other related duties as assigned.

General

+ Complies with the designated IATF16949 responsibilities, environmental management system, health & safety and company rules and guidelines.

+ Ensures company safety policies are adhered to and safe work habits are utilized by all department personnel and visitors. Wears personal protective equipment (PPE) as always required

+ Maintains a high standard of general housekeeping consistent with 5S standards

+ Strives for continuous improvement

Position Qualifications

+ Currently working towards obtaining a valid Tool & Die Makers Certificate and 3 to 5 years of job-related experience.
