    Position Summary / Objective:

    The Web and Digital Interface Designer is a critical member of a systems engineering team providing maintenance planning and lifecycle support for U.S. Navy ships. The position is responsible for design, maintenance and improvements of collaborations tools, web content and training software.

    + Support the development, customization, integration, and optimization of digital collaboration tools used across the organization;

    + Optimize SharePoint Integration: Improve the integration of SharePoint with Microsoft Teams to streamline collaboration and document management;

    + Power Platform Solutions: Develop Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and Power BI dashboards that improve business processes, streamline data flows, and automate repetitive tasks;

    + Customization and Configuration: Customize Microsoft Teams and SharePoint features to meet the specific needs of the organization while maintaining adherence to security and governance policies;

    + Training and Knowledge Transfer: Provide training and documentation for end users and internal IT teams to ensure smooth adoption and long-term sustainability of the solutions;

    + Support and Maintenance: Provide post-implementation support to address issues, provide enhancements, and ensure solutions remain optimized and secure;

    + Collaborate with NAVSEA 03, PEO Digital, and Flank Speed to provide feedback as well as ensure CPA is aligned with any changes or updates needed;

    + Work closely with CPA staff to document and organize the content;

    + Function as a SharePoint and Teams web content manager;

    + Label, organize, and code files/content for filtering and tracking purposes;

    + Create site calendars, contact list, links, and other related components as needed;

    Required education and experience:

    + Must have a BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent technical degree

    + Must hold ALL of the following certifications:

    + Microsoft 365 Fundamentals

    + Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst

    + Microsoft 365 Certified Teams Administrator Associate

    + Sharepoint Online Power User

    + Minimum of 5 years of professional experience

    + Must be capable of obtaining/maintaining a secret security clearance

    Preferred education and experience:

    + Preferred 8 years of professional experience

    + Preferred certifications include:

    + Sharepoint Site Collection & Site Administration

    + Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)

    + Preferred experience in:

    + Microsoft Teams/365

    + Power apps

    + Power BI

    + Sharepoint

    Competencies:

    + Self-starter

    + Great communication skills

    + Ability to train others

    + Team player

     

    Additional eligibility requirements

    Work authorization/security clearance requirements:

    An active DoD Secret security clearance.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Excellent listening skills are essential. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    The typical workday is eight hours in length. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, with concurrence from the supervisor. Attendance at prescheduled mandatory meetings is required. Must be available during the core work hours as determined by your contract/location and must account for the required number of hours in a pay period to maintain Full-time status.

    Telework:

    + Telework may be allowed up to 20%.

    Travel:

    + Ability to travel CONUS; potential to travel OCONUS

    + Travel up to 5% may be required.
