    Quality Inspector

     

    PHB, Inc. located in Fairview Pennsylvania, recognized globally as a fully integrated supplier of quality parts and assemblies, has an immediate opening for a Quality Inspector at the Machining Division. PHB, Inc. is a highly automated and technologically advanced manufacturer with capabilities consisting of zinc and aluminum die casting, machining, and product assembly. PHB services many markets including appliance, telecommunications, electronics, electrical equipment, automotive, transportation, industrial equipment, instrumentation, aerospace, and defense industries.

     

    The Quality Inspector works within a team of inspectors to uphold ISO IATF 16949 standards on all machined parts following detailed technical instructions. This is a third shift position working Sunday night (11pm) through Friday morning, (7am).

    Job Requirements :

    + Visual Inspection

    + Thread gauging

    + Experience using Micrometers and Calipers

    + Ability to read and follow detailed technical instructions

    + Ability to read blueprints

    + Basic Computer skills

    + Must be organized and detail oriented

    + High school diploma or GED

    + Strong work ethic, overtime required as needed

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    + Basic knowledge of geometric tolerance and dimensioning

    Job Responsibilities :

    + Ensure conformity to product requirements

    + Measure angular dimensions, radii, contours, clearances, thread lead, and other specifications

    + Test Units for fit of moving parts and mechanical functioning

    + Test parts for hardness

    + Inspect first run, in-process and trial parts and assemblies, and final inspection

    + Perform process inspection utilizing pre-determined methods and procedures to check layouts, tolerances, and finish requirements on a diversified line of aluminum and zinc castings

    + Audit operators, processes, etc. and advise Quality Manager or designate of actual and potential problems

    + Maintain files pertaining to the quality status of all jobs

    + Perform all other duties as assigned by Quality Manager
