Responsibilities:
+ Sources and purchases materials, parts, and equipment for manufacturing operations.
+ Evaluates supplier capabilities and quotes, and negotiates pricing, terms, and delivery conditions.
+ Sets inventory policies (reorder points, reorder quantities) based on product history, supplier reliability, supplier lead-time, and other market intelligence.
+ Monitors inventory levels and system triggers, and places orders to ensure material availability.
+ Collaborates, as needed, with Sales, Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to address compliance with design, quality, or operational requirements and needs.
+ Tracks and expedites open supplier orders to ensure timely delivery.
+ Maintains supplier relationships, conducts regular supplier business reviews, and plans corrective actions as required.
+ Identifies and implements cost-saving opportunities and process improvements; utilizes Strategic Sourcing and Blanket Orders to reduce lead-times, lower costs, and improve supply chain resilience.
+ Stays informed about market trends and changes in raw material costs.
+ Analyzes and presents data to teammates and leadership to address changing trends and current purchasing challenges.
Qualifications:
+ Has 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, and materials planning experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
+ Can read and interpret complex product design blueprints.
+ Possesses strong negotiation and communication skills.
+ Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Is proficient in Excel (Vlookup, Pivot Table, etc).
+ Has solid understanding of MRP/ERP systems and how they work (we use Odoo)
+ Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
+ Possesses attention to detail and desire to work with a team of excellent and motivated professionals
Salary ranges for this position are determined based upon the job location and can be adjusted based upon experience, reflecting our commitment to valuing the expertise and contributions of our individual teammates. Salary range for this role is $50,000 - $80,000 annually based upon experience.
