    Introduction

     

    Your role and responsibilities

    Software Developer, IBM Corporation, San Jose, CA (Up to 20% telecommuting permitted):

    * Work on the Cloud Pak for Data core platform development team, contributing to both front-end and back-end development to implement software features.

    * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, content, and product management, to design, implement, and test optimal solutions for the platform.

    * Develop automated test cases for all API test scenarios.

    * Access a range of technical training to grow your expertise and learn from senior leaders.

    * Engage with various clients, leveraging knowledge in container management technologies and database management, alongside software development skills in both functional and object oriented programming.

    * Apply professional experience in software development using functional and/or object-oriented programming.

    * Communicate complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through strong written and verbal communication.

    * Use advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, alongside experience with servers, applications, and databases.

    * Leverage experience with version control systems and development tools on different platforms.

    * Apply continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) methodologies, working within Agile and Scrum frameworks.

    * Leverage programming expertise to drive platform development, ensuring high-quality standards through active participation in debugging, troubleshooting, and quality assurance efforts.

    * Contribute to the automation of processes, with a focus on maintaining quality throughout development.

    * Utilize: NodeJS, Kubernetes, Nginx, SQL, Docker, RedHat OpenShift.

     

    Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Software Developer or related. One (1) years of experience must include utilizing NodeJS, Kubernetes, Nginx, SQL, Docker, RedHat OpenShift. $226158 to $289200 per year. Full time. AV167.
