Introduction

Your role and responsibilities

Managing Consultant, IBM Corporation, New York, NY (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted):

* Engage with senior leaders (including Senior Vice Presidents) across company to identify and frame strategic issues, conduct fact-based analyses, and develop recommendations to achieve meaningful and tangible business impact.

* Work with many areas of the company including, but not limited to, geographical scope and (both geographic specific divisions and global growth divisions), business products (both service line and business function level offerings, which covers all of services, products, and portfolio challenges), and key cross-functional transformational initiatives.

* Leverage business and consulting skills to analyze complex strategic issues, formulate hypotheses and test conclusions to determine appropriate strategies.

* Participate in the creation of strategies aimed at bringing change in a globally integrated enterprise.

* Develop business operating models, using organizational design principles to create governance structures, and financial modeling to determine the total cost and overall impact of changes.

* Work on sales and account planning to identify how to increase efficiency of sales activities, perform wins-loss analysis, and identify joint-marketing and sales activities that can be implemented with third parties and technology ecosystem partners.

* Conduct competitive analysis to understand the strengths and weaknesses of competitors including analysis of recent market activity, third party data and reports, and financial data.

* Conduct product and services lifecycle analysis to determine how to create new products and services with new and evolving technologies (e.g. Generative AI, software and cloud security, etc.), financial modeling to determine market size, and business development planning on how to grow market share and revenue.

* Utilize: Strategic Planning, Financial Modelling, Risk Management, Statistical Analysis, Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, Data Visualization.

Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Strategy Consultant or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Strategic Planning, Financial Modelling, Risk Management, Statistical Analysis, Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, Data Visualization. $190599 to $200000 per year. Required technical and professional expertise
