Job Summary:
Under general supervision, instructs and supervises students of a state educational, rehabilitation, health care or correctional facility. Develops individual instruction plans, provides instruction, completes reports and tutors students.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Enforces administration policies and rules governing students Instructs students in vocational and pre-vocational skills Maintains necessary reporting systems
Prepares and delivers progress reports
Prepares and maintains students' records
Prepares daily work plans and instructional materials for classroom use
Prepares lesson plans and laboratory exercises
Provides individual attention and assistance to meet the varied needs and abilities of students
Teaches and instructs through lectures, demonstrations and audio/visual aids
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree from an accredited college or university or recognized certification in the area of vocational assignment; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Instructor 1 (EDP020) or position equivalent.
Note: Positions may require area specific certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to Entry Qualifications, Preferred Qualifications may be added by the agency.
