    Maintenance Electrician

     

    As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of industrial electrical systems and equipment within the facility, including routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting. You will repair and troubleshoot VFD’s, PLC’s, test motors with associated controls, and diagnose protective devices such as breakers, fuses, and overloads.

    Responsibilities:

    • 2 years or more working with Industrial High Voltage (480v+) systems.

    • Perform maintenance tasks including PM’s breakdowns, repairs and rebuilds.

    • Ensure all lockout-tagout procedures are followed.

    • Locate equipment problems and discuss potential causes.

    • Recommend practical solutions to technical problems.

    • Diagnose problems and repair VFD’s, PLC’s, motors with associated controls.

    • Fuses, overloads, relays, conduit & cable, transmitter calibration controllers.

    • Repair damages and defects to equipment as per technical instructions

    • Perform planned preventive and predictive maintenance tasks within schedule.

    Requirements:

    • 2 plus years of industrial electrical work in a manufacturing environment.

    • Repair VFD’s, PLC’s, motors with associated controls.

    • Knowledge of breakers, fuses, overloads, relays, conduit & cable, transmitter calibration controllers.

    • High School diploma or equivalent.

    **Pay:** $35 - $38 per hour

    The pay range for this position is $70720.00 - $79040.00/yr.

    In addition to the above, you have the opportunity to participate in DSM’s 401(k) retirement plan. DSM contributes an amount equal to 4% of your total eligible pay to your 401(k) plan, regardless of whether you participate. If you contribute to the plan, DSM will also match 100% of the first 4% of total eligible pay that you contribute. DSM will automatically enroll you in the plan at 4% of pay which will be deducted and contributed toward the plan unless you decline or make another election. You will receive a welcome package from the 401(k) vendor soon after joining DSM. Your pay and contributions are subject to plan and IRS limits as outlined in the Summary Plan Description.

    Your Paid Time Off (PTO) accrues on a pay period basis, with a maximum of 18 days per year, for the first five years of employment. Thereafter, your accrual rate increases based on your service in accordance with the PTO policy. Please see attached policy document for further details.
