Job Title: Painter

2nd shift 3pm-11pm Monday-Friday

3rd shift 9pm-6am Monday-Thursday

Pay Rate: $22.75-$26.40/hour based on experience

Job Description

As a painter, you will prime, paint, and touch up vehicles using power spray equipment and brushes. You will ensure specifications are met by masking, unmasking, or adjusting masking as necessary. Your role also includes cleaning and conditioning parts, performing light bodywork, and disassembling, cleaning, repairing, and reassembling painting equipment for proper operation.

Responsibilities

+ Flush tanks, hoses, and guns prior to color changeovers.

+ Mix all types of paints for proper color, formula, conditions, viscosity, and consistency.

+ Perform titrations and mix or adjust chemicals as necessary in paint, zinc, or other processes.

+ Apply decals, stencils, and rust-proofing as required.

+ Maintain the work area and equipment, including performing preventative maintenance tasks.

+ Inspect the product before, during, and after the paint process to ensure specifications are met.

+ Transport, move, or guide parts, subassemblies, or assemblies before, during, or after the paint process and to the next operation, which may include moving racks or carts by hand or using material handling equipment such as a forklift or overhead crane.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47320.00 - $54912.00/yr.
