Job Title: Maintenance Machinist
Job Description
The Maintenance Machinist is responsible for performing routine maintenance and machine set-up functions, as well as reading and interpreting technical drawings to ensure machine specifications are met. The role involves machine tooling actions on conventional machines, including lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders, CNC, and band saws. Additionally, the machinist will set-up and prepare product tooling dies and related machinery/equipment to meet production specifications.
Responsibilities
+ Perform routine maintenance and machine set-up functions.
+ Read and interpret technical drawings for machine specifications.
+ Conduct machine tooling actions on conventional machines such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders, CNC, and band saws.
+ Prepare and set-up product tooling dies and related machinery/equipment to meet production specifications.
+ Communicate effectively with operators, maintenance personnel, and supervisors regarding tooling requirements, status, and parameters.
+ Maintain recordkeeping for tool and die program and critical spares program.
+ Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and provide preventative care for multiple stamping products and maintenance support of related equipment.
+ Collaborate with internal, external, and customer groups to understand product requirements.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with tool and die, troubleshooting, mechanical repair, and industrial maintenance.
+ Minimum of 5 years of machining/tool and die experience.
+ Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical diagrams.
+ Functional mathematical ability including knowledge of fractions and decimals.
+ Compliance with all safe work practices, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Steel Service Center experience preferred.
+ Dependability to be on time and at work with the ability to work overtime as needed.
+ Proficient general maintenance knowledge.
+ Possess a team mentality with strong self-motivational skills.
+ Close visual acuity, near/far vision, and ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, and/or bending.
+ Medium to heavy lifting capability (up to 65 lbs).
+ High School diploma/GED required.
+ Technical Machine Tool & Die certification or related experience required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $83200.00/yr.
