    Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Project Manager with a passion for successfully leading and executing engineering projects. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they meet client objectives and are completed within scope, budget, and schedule.

    Responsibilities

    + Take full ownership of projects and work creatively to ensure their success.

    + Monitor and direct work on multiple projects simultaneously, acting both as a lead engineer and project manager.

    + Manage small to large projects with engineering budgets ranging from $500k to $80M.

    + Oversee project schedules, scopes, and budgets, providing status reports to clients and senior management.

    + Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, offering solutions with minimal information.

    + Lead internal and client meetings, both web-based and in-person.

    + Develop and communicate weekly meeting agendas and minutes, addressing key project-related issues.

    + Estimate project costs, including engineering, construction, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.

    + Manage and de-escalate conflicts with clients and within the project team.

    + Serve as the primary customer contact as a lead discipline engineer, demonstrating proficiency in your engineering discipline.

    + Complete engineering calculations and demonstrate knowledge of relevant codes.

    + Develop engineering documents according to industry, project, company, and client standards.

    + Review drawings outside your discipline to ensure compatibility and prevent interferences.

    + Interact effectively with other engineering disciplines to understand project impacts.

    + Collect field notes during site visits.

    + Consider and communicate design changes and their impacts on the overall project.

    Essential Skills

    + Proven experience in project management and construction management.

    + Engineering design and mechanical engineering expertise.

    + Experience in heavy industrial projects related to oil and gas, renewable energies, or pulp and paper.

    + Process piping, MEP design, MEP engineering, plumbing design, HVAC, heavy industrial construction knowledge.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 5+ years of combined experience as a senior engineer and project manager on industrial projects.

    + Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required; mechanical or chemical engineering degree preferred.

    + Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is desired; willingness to obtain PE if not currently held.

    + Technical field and client job site experience.

    + Strong written and oral communication skills.

    + Ability to travel approximately 10-25% of the time throughout the western United States with some national travel.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, web meeting software, and PDF markup software.

    + Familiarity with Microsoft Project or similar tools is strongly preferred.

    + Experience with Navisworks Freedom is preferred.

    Work Environment

    Enjoy a 100% remote working schedule with minimal travel, typically 10-25%, involving several short trips each year.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $140000.00/yr.

     

    - Benefit offerings include group health, dental, and vision insurance; as well as life insurance, and short and long-term disability insurance- Variety of non-building structure projects - marine, industrial, and oil & gas projects- 2-3 weeks PTO is typical, but we can negotiate more- Holiday pay- Minimal travel 2-3 days every couple month- Continued education reimbursement.- Every other Friday off
