A Day in the life
A day in the life of a Marketing Manager at Stanley Martin Homes is centered around leadership, coordination, and collaboration. You’ll begin by managing divisional marketing requests, ensuring that projects like site plans, brochures, and campaigns are completed efficiently and effectively. Tasks include drafting creative briefs, overseeing campaign execution, and working closely with designers, printers, and vendors to ensure everything aligns with strategy and deadlines. Weekly marketing meetings and calls with sales leaders provide opportunities to align on strategy, track KPIs, and refine marketing efforts. You’ll consult with divisional sales leaders and the Director of Marketing on integrated marketing plans, manage neighborhood openings, and update brand standards as needed. Balancing budgets, maintaining project ownership, and collaborating across departments are key aspects of the role. This work reflects Stanley Martin’s commitment to its mission, vision, and values, which influence every aspect of the Marketing Manager’s day.

Must Haves
+ BA/BS degree in marketing, communications or business
+ Strong marketing experience
+ Strong leadership skills; team player with an independent working style
+ Outstanding creative judgment and familiarity developing advertising creative in all forms of media
+ An ability to think both creatively and strategically
+ Excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills
+ The ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, perform under pressure and pay close attention to detail while staying focused on the big picture
+ Proven experience leading and managing teams, including coaching, performance management, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Martin Alloy and Stanley Halle created Stanley Martin in 1966 in the Maryland suburbs outside of Washington, D.C. Stanley Martin expanded into Northern Virginia in 1971, Charlottesville, VA in 2013 and both Richmond, VA and Raleigh, NC in 2014. In 2017, Stanley Martin joined the Daiwa House Group, which provided the opportunity to expand into Atlanta, GA and Charleston, SC in 2018 and again in 2020 into Columbia, SC and Charlotte, NC among other metro areas on the east coast.
