Description
Job Summary: The department of Urology at the University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Instructor of Urology to join our expanding regional faculty practice, with a primary appointment based at St. James Hospital in Hornell, NY. This position is focused on delivering high-quality urologic care to underserved rural population and improving health equity in the Southern Tier region.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care - Focus primarily on clinical care, working closely under the supervision and guidance of faculty within the department of urology. This role will be provided robust mentorship and hands-on experience, ensuring alignment with the department's standard of excellence while meeting the unique needs of the local patient population.
Collaborate - work closely with other researchers, clinicians, policymakers, etc. within and outside the institution to advance research goals. Engage in interdiscipinary collaborations to ehnance the impact of research findings.
Community Engagement - Engage with community organizations and stakeholders to translate research findsings into actionalable strategies for improving health equity and access to urologic care.
Service - Partipcate in departmental and profressional service activities. Contribute to committtees, working groups, and academic events.
Qualifications
Education: M.D degree or equivalent, possess the credentials to obtain an unrestricted NYS Medical License, qualified candidates will have completed an accredited Urology Residency.
Experience: Demonstrated history of delivering high qualoty patient care, with a commitment to serving a diverse popualtion. They should possess strong interpersonsal skills and a proven ability to work collaborateively within multidiscipinary teams.
