Stanford University Human Resources (UHR) is seeking a HR Product Management to oversee the team responsible for enhancing HR service delivery by testing and releasing new enhancements to the university’s core HR products. Key responsibilities include ensuring the continual improvement of HR products such as the HCM system through critical testing of new and enhanced software functionality prior to release to the HR community. This position reports to the Director HR Product and Data Management. This position is at our Stanford Redwood City campus.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Supervisor, HR Product Management oversees the team responsible for enhancing HR service delivery by testing and releasing new enhancements to the university’s core HR products. Key responsibilities include ensuring the continual improvement of HR products such as the HCM system through critical testing of new and enhanced software functionality prior to release to the HR community. Acting as a trusted Center of Expertise subject matter expert for the HR Service Center, the Supervisor, HR Product Management leads the team who addresses escalated HR product questions of high complexity and oversees the maintenance of HR products. This role also works closely with UHR and UIT departments to facilitate HR product management. The Supervisor, HR Product Management trains and guides their team to provide effective recommendations and product oversight, utilizing resources efficiently and continually upgrading their knowledge. The ideal candidate understands a wide range of HR processes, policies, and procedures, test system functionality and ensures the integrity of HR workflows and processes remain intact. CORE DUTIES*:
+ HR Product Management & Maintenance : Oversee the continual improvement of HR service delivery across processes and technology through Oracle HCM product testing and maintenance. Supervise the team responsible for testing new product releases and system upgrades in a controlled environment before releasing software to production. Ensure quality and efficient system updates and upgrades, introducing new features and improvements to HR products. Provide subject matter expertise in maintaining legacy HRIS functionality and testing higher complex functionality and service requests.
+ Team Leadership & Development: Supervise the team of HR product management analysts. Responsible for hiring and retaining staff, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure high performance and professional development. Conduct regular team meetings to review cases, discuss updates, and address challenges. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the team.Manage individual and overall team performance.
+ Customer Support & Analytics: Supervise the team addressing and resolving product issues to minimize potential downtime. Ensure quick resolution of escalated system-related issues from the HR community and maintain a prioritized backlog of user-submitted enhancements. Drive system integrity and security through regular audits, analytics, and reporting. Lead the generation of dashboards and analysis of reports to support decision-making and strategic planning. Collaborate with UHR departments and UIT to ensure seamless integration, usability, and functionality of HR products. Oversee training and adoption efforts for HR products, ensuring HR staff and employees are properly trained on system usage, new features, and updates. Review user documentation and training materials to ensure HR teams and end users understand how to use HR systems effectively.
+ Service Excellence & Communication: Ensure quick resolution of Oracle HCM product-related issues to minimize disruptions. Collaborate with HR, COEs, and IT leaders to continually test and improve HR products, supporting alignment with and enhancing current processes and workflows. Regularly monitor and resolve highly complex ServiceNow tickets, maintaining adherence to SLAs, and openly communicate the progress and status of requests through resolution. Maintain open lines of communication between teammates, COEs, IT, and the HR organization at large. Contribute to an inclusive environment by building and maintaining collaborative relationships with team members, peers, and leaders across the HR organization.
+ HR Acumen and Competency: Provide high-level Oracle HCM product support by leveraging strong knowledge of HR technology, as well as HR programs, processes, and procedures to ensure the product is functioning effectively and driving Stanford HR business requirements. Use knowledge to proactively monitor and audit HR systems and data. Support the creation of knowledge articles and related collateral to improve understanding of new or changed functionality as a result of Oracle HCM enhancements.
+ Strategic Business Understanding: Align HR product management with overall HR strategy. Demonstrate alignment with the organization's Strategic Plan through actions and communication.
+ Other: Execute additional responsibilities as needed. The organization reserves the right to modify duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree and five years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Strong leadership skills and experience gained from working in a HRIS Analyst, HR Operations, or in a HR product support role responsible for testing complex releases and ensuring alignment with current workflows and procedures.
+ Extensive experience supporting the maintenance of HR products (e.g., HRIS).
+ Demonstrated dedication to service excellence and commitment to providing clients with accurate and thoughtful solutions punctually.
+ Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
+ Ability to provide strategic support and guidance on projects, experience leading feedback collection and process improvement initiatives.
+ Capacity to exercise discretion with confidential information.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Certifications and Licenses:
+ SHRM-CP or SPHR preferred.
+ CBAP or similar preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
+ Frequently stand/walk, sit, perform desk-based computer tasks, and use a telephone.
+ Occasionally write by hand, twist/bend/stoop/squat, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds, sort/file paperwork.
+ Rarely kneel/crawl, operate foot and/or hand controls.

The expected pay range for this position is $130,253 - $150,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
