Summary You will serve as a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM OPERATOR LEADER in the Fuels Department, Operations Division of NAVSUP FLC PEARL HARBOR. Responsibilities You will receive work plans and instructions from supervisor and relay assignments and tasks to be performed by individuals. You will work along with other workers, demonstrate proper work methods, set the pace and ensure that safety and housekeeping rules are followed. You will ensure needed materials, tools and equipment are available to perform the work. You will control and direct the transfer of petroleum products from bulk storage via pipeline to underground or aboveground storage tanks. You will continually monitor bulk storage and pump house areas checking pressure gauges, inspect for fuel leaks, and ensure proper position of valves, tank gauges and switches. You will receive incoming petroleum fuel and lube oil by truck, tanker, barge, ship or pipeline by spotting trucks, ships or barges at specific risers or loading arms according to type and grade of product. You will perform maintenance, inventory of products received, stored and issued, inspections of the storage/distribution system, and make minor repairs to tanks, pumps and valves.
