    • Connected Buildings Technical Lead

    • The Connected Buildings Technical Lead is an individual contributor level position, with responsibility to assist in maintaining the technical and reporting performance of the BMS group portfolio wide. This role will aid in network point configuration, firmware updates, system backups, project support, and other BMS program management related activities

    • The Connected Buildings Technical Lead position is typically filled by someone with several (5+) years of BMS management, field installation experience, and network expertise. Several years’ experience in the support of Capital BMS projects is a plus

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Requirements

    + Associate degree in HVAC/Electrical and formalized training in the application of BMS software. Bachelors degree preferred

    + Ten or more years’ experience with BMS systems

    + Demonstrated capability to produce complex plans and reporting in BMS within budget and schedule and conforming to company Quality Standards

    + Demonstrated capability to coordinate with other service lines on project schedule requirements, to monitor backlog and to control assignment of staff to multiple projects

    + Performs regular scheduled system backups and documents changes to the systems

    + Responsible for installing and adding points to BMS systems and creating histories of data points for clients

    + Responsible to work with client IT department to white list devices, assign IP’s, and maintain network security

    + Troubleshoots malfunctioning control systems and makes corrections as needed

    + Closely works with HVAC field technicians to facilitate repairs and maintenance of HVAC equipment

    + Ability to organize, plan, monitor and control project contractual requirements, budgets, schedules and technical work

    + Ability to utilize basic personal computer applications including spread sheets, word processors, email, and internet browsers

    Physical Requirements

    + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to travel from floor-to-floor and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions

    + This role is primarily remote with some travel required to customer sites

    + The employee may also be regularly required to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time

    + Regularly use hands to operate office machinery including, but not limited to, telephones, computers, fax, and photocopy machines

    + Regularly required to walk, to talk, and to hear

    The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

     

    The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

     

    The compensation for the position is: $127,500.00 - $150,000.00
