    Strategic Operations Lead - Cyber Security GRC

    Position Overview:

    In this role, you will leverage your extensive research and knowledge of industry best practices to co-create solutions with teams based on their unique circumstances. You will provide high-touch consulting to help teams develop and apply the behaviors and skills necessary for success, coaching them until they can demonstrate these skills independently. As a key player in our organization, you will work across platforms to design common models and practices, providing guidance and coaching on new ways of working. Your commitment to continuous improvement will adapt our delivery to the constantly evolving business and organizational changes. You will be responsible for the concept and delivery of living documentation, documenting business intent and changes over time, and managing agile ceremonies such as quarterly release planning, roadmap creation, and vision. You will partner with and advise leaders on organizational designs, process, and culture changes that enable business agility.

    YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The primary responsibilities of this role, Strategic Operations - Cyber Security GRC, are to:

    Strategy Development & Execution

    + Define and drive the platform strategy aligned with our human-centric cybersecurity vision.

    + Translate business needs and security objectives into platform and squad strategies that drive measurable outcomes.

    + Identify and evaluate emerging trends, tools, and technologies to maintain platform leadership.

    + Track progress against strategic priorities and drive accountability across the organization.

    Business Operations & Agility

    + Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of core business rhythms (e.g., quarterly planning, OKRs, QBRs).

    + Ensure squads and regions operate in an agile, adaptive, and value-driven manner.

    + Identify and remove blockers to team performance, collaboration, and delivery.

    Operational Excellence

    + Establish and manage governance frameworks, operational processes, and reporting routines.

    + Drive process improvement initiatives using Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma methodologies to optimize team efficiency and delivery.

    Performance & Insights

    + Lead business performance management, including dashboards, scorecards, and reporting for leadership

    + Analyze organizational effectiveness and recommend enhancements to improve outcomes and capabilities.

    Financial & Resource Management

    + Partner with FinOps and squad leads to manage platform budgets, forecasts, resource planning, and vendor spend tracking.

    + Support workforce planning and hiring coordination in collaboration with HR and platform leadership.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    + Serve as the connective tissue between platforms, squads, IT and the divisions

    + Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance culture across regions and functions.

    + Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to co-create secure, scalable solutions.

    Skills Optimization & Leadership

    + Develop team capabilities through coaching, mentoring, and modern skill-building programs.

    + Cultivate a BizDevOpsmindset across the organization, empowering teams to deliver faster, safer, and smarter.

    Process and Platform Efficiency

    + Streamline workflows, optimize processes, and reduce friction in delivery cycles.

    + Champion automation, observability, and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and resilience.

    + Ensure that security and compliance are baked into every layer of the development lifecycle.

    Outcome-Oriented Development

    + Align product and platform decisions with clear, human-focused cybersecurity outcomes.

    + Define KPIs and success metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of the platform.

    + Drive a data-informed culture to prioritize and refine initiatives based on user insights, persona requirements and evolving threats and risks

    Special Projects & Prioritization

    + Lead or support high-impact projects on behalf of the Platform Leader

    + Serve as a sounding board, trusted advisor, and force multiplier for the Platform Leader

    + Help prioritize time, energy, and focus toward the highest-value work.

    WHO YOU ARE:

    Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

    + Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;

    + Experience leading and guiding people and/or project-level leadership experience;

    + Experience working with or leading agile teams;

    + Experience with agile tools and techniques;

    + Proven ability to build rapport and trust with employees at all levels, including senior leadership teams;

    + High degree of coaching and mentorship experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + 10 years of IT industry or equivalent experience;
