    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Grind castings per instructions

    + Change and dress grinding wheels

    + Select the proper tools for application

    + Identify equipment malfunctions

    + Operational knowledge of air supplied hoods

    + Identify scrap and/or defective castings and report to Supervisor/Management

    + Operate hoists and other lifting devices

    + Occasionally required to help/assist new or transferred employees

    + Must exercise proper care of tools and equipment

    + Must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    + High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    + Participation in any medical examinations required by law or federal regulations.

    EQUIPMENT/TOOLS:

    + Grinding wheels

    + Pneumatic or electric hand grinders

    + Pneumatic chipper

    + Hand tools

    + Lifting equipment and devices

    WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:

    + Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis and up to 70 pounds on a periodic basis.

    + Stand for extended periods of time up to 10 hours per day.

    + Required to wear respirator or air supplied hoods.

    + Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex and write by hand and/or type.

    + Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone and in person.

    + Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.

    + Exposed to any number of elements, but none continuously present to the extent of being disagreeable.
