Description
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Welder with experience in welding domes, salvage operations, and tank fabrication/repair. This is a U.A.W represented position at our facility in Muskegon. The hourly pay for this position starts at $28.47 an hour.
Essential Functions:
+ Dome welding
+ Cylinder block liner weld (New and Reman)
+ Salvage weld and repairs
+ Weld ring gears
+ Conduct quality inspections and ensure welds meet standards
+ Interpret blue-print specifications and processes to determine appropriate welding processes.
+ Prepare metal for welding which may involve cutting, grinding and cleaning.
+ Adhere to safety procedures and regulations, wearing appropriate safety gear, and ensuring a safe working environment.
+ All other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Tig Welding experience required
+ 2+ years machining experience
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Must be able to read and understand processes and process drawings
+ Must have mechanical skills
+ Must have mathematical skills
+ Must be able to lift up to and including 50 lbs.
+ Must be able to bend and lift.
+ Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
• 2+ years of assembly experience preferred
