Position Highlights

Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA has a full-time position in our Nursing Department for an Emergency Department Nurse Manager. The ED Manager works with the Nursing Services Director to provide direct administrative nursing supervision of the nursing staff to provide quality patient care.

The ED Manager position is a 40-hour per week position paid hourly. Schedule will consist of 4 10-hour shifts, day and night shifts, and one weekend per every six weeks schedule.

ED Manager Responsibilities:

+ Influences organizational policy development related to patient care.

+ Responsible for the collection, scoring and development of processes and validation of trauma data and information.

+ Assures that staff assigned to ED is appropriately trained and competent to deliver patient care.

+ Reviews and revises the orientation process and defines competency testing items.

Requirements:

+ Licensed in State of Iowa as Registered Nurse

+ Certification in Emergency Nurse (CEN) highly desirable

+ 3-5 years of emergency room experience

+ BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC are required within 6 months of employment
