This position will report to the Design For Service (DFS) Digital Pre-Assembly (DPA4) and Requirements Manager, and is responsible for managing, improving, and ensuring the quality of DPA4 and service requirements, as they relate to Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD). The role involves owning, authoring, tracking, and auditing DPA4 and/or service requirements, managing service deviations, and serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on relevant engineering systems and documentation in the Ford Engineering Design Environment (FEDE) system.
What you'll do…
+ Owner / Author for FCSD Service and DPA4 Requirements
+ Maintain, update, and write new service requirements, details, and test methods as needed
+ Review updates to service requirements that have service interface with the Technical Advisory Group (TAG), and solicit input from SMEs where necessary
+ Track changes to service requirements and report them to the Global Design For Service teams on a regular cadence
+ Work with requirement authors to update service requirements not owned by FCSD
+ FCSD representative to the global Technical Standards Group (TSG) and/or TAG
+ Lead DFS team in Annual Audits of DPA4 requirements in E2KS or equivalent platform
+ Develop and maintain tracking / glidepath documents for the annual DPA4 audits
+ Support commodity teams at working-level DPA4 audits, as needed
+ Ensure all DPA4 audits are aligned, globally
+ Manage FCSD Service Deviations
+ Create and manage a global deviations database tracking log that is reported on the DFS SharePoint site
+ Develop and manage a deviation notification distribution and tracking mechanism through disposition
+ FEDE SME for the DFS team
+ Assist DFS Program Managers with DVPs (Design Verification Plan) as needed
+ Support DFS Commodity Managers in maintaining, updating, and writing new service-related requirements in FEDE, as needed by commodities
+ Manage and publish Job Aids for DVPs, guided search for requirements, deviations, and regulations
You'll have…
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Automotive Technology, or similar (preferred)
+ Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Product Development with exposure to systems shown below:
+ FEDE – (Database containing Ford Requirements, Deviations, Design Rules, Regulations)
+ E2KS – (Repository for storing CAD evidence to Requirements)
+ Global Integrator – (Tool that manages Vehicle and Unit-level timing with deliverables)
+ WERs – (System that manages / communicates part design and release levels)

• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships across diverse cross-functional teams and various leadership levels
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while effectively prioritizing and adapting to changing needs
• Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage oneself effectively to deliver results with minimal direction
• Analytical abilities to collect, organize and interpret data to help drive decisions and execute projects
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Pivot Tables in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Forms, etc.)
• Continuous improvement mindset with experience in process development and the ability to define processes in ambiguous or 'white space' environments
• Experience with specific tools such as PowerAutomate, FordLLM, and/or advanced SharePoint site usage
• Experience or a strong understanding of the automotive service repair process, ideally with previous service/dealership experience

This position is a salary grade range 7-8.
