VIZIO’s Information Technology team is seeking a Specialist Technician to join their growing team. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with cutting edge technology that helps facilitate productivity, security, and collaboration to VIZIO. The Specialist Technician, will report to the Technology Support II, and provide hands on support to employees in their local office and company-wide employees via remote assistance.
What you'll do...
Support the onboarding of employees during weekly New Hire Orientation meetings, ensuring a smooth transition for new team members. Collaborate with other SSTs to provide rotational weekend support, maintaining consistent service availability.
Work closely with other SSTs via Email, MS Teams, and Slack to ensure effective collaboration and problem-solving. Provision PC, Mac, and Linux-based hardware for new employees, ensuring they have the necessary tools to succeed. Provide L1/L2 support to users locally and company-wide via Email, Chat, or Phone, adhering to established SLAs, policies, and SOPs.
Assist Infrastructure and Client Services teams with testing and deployment of new hardware, software, and operating systems. Provide support for Video Conferencing Systems, ensuring seamless communication across the company. Work with senior team members and team leadership on hardware requirements to facilitate maximum productivity.
Oversee inventory and stocking levels for IT assets at your local office, ensuring availability and proper management. Coordinate with the local office manager for building access and maintaining IT-managed office equipment.
Occasionally travel to other offices throughout the U.S. as needed, supporting various IT initiatives. Perform other tasks as assigned by team leadership, contributing to the overall success of the IT department.
What you will bring:
You have a minimum education level of a High School Diploma.
You possess an advanced understanding of currently supported Windows and macOS versions, with over 1 year of experience supporting these operating systems.
Additionally, you have at least 1 year of related work experience. You are a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment. As a hard-working team player, you maintain a "no task is too small" attitude.
You can effectively explain technical issues to non-technical users and work with software developers when they need assistance, providing correct solutions and root cause analysis.
You have at least 1 year of experience working with ticketing systems like Jira and ServiceNow, as well as the Office 365 Admin Center.
You possess at least a beginner level understanding of Command Prompt, PowerShell, and Terminal.
You have a solid foundation in Windows and macOS imaging and knowledge of self-service software installation tools such as Company Portal and Manage Engine.
Additionally, you have an understanding of Active Directory tools.

The hourly wage range for this position is $25.00-$48.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
