The A/R Follow Up Manager will be responsible for assisting in the management, coordination and the control of daily operational activities within the A/R Follow Up department. The role is a key part in the R1 and client relationship that ensures the maximum collection for medical services. The position is in a fast-paced environment and oversees the management of local and remote resources, while reporting directly to the Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Operations. With a keen sense of customer service relative to revenue cycle management, analytical mindset you will drive a team to achieve key revenue performance while adhering to R1's quality metrics with assigned departments.
Here’s what you will experience working as a Follow Up Manager:
+ Oversight and Management: Responsible for overseeing A/R Follow-Up functions in the US and India, establishing effective working relationships with onshore and offshore counterparts.
+ Performance and Operations: Participate in weekly operations meetings to drive performance excellence and resolve client concerns promptly.
+ Team Development: Develop and coach team members to enhance skills and processes, promoting quality.
+ Client Interaction: Interact with client health systems, providing regular performance updates.
+ KPI Monitoring: Measure and monitor KPI metrics, focusing on aging categories, and allocate workforce to meet daily production targets.
+ Communication and Reporting: Communicate results with clients and lead follow-up meetings to report results and resolve issues.
+ Workflow Optimization: Optimize workflows to minimize non-productive touches and maximize collections.
+ Compliance: Ensure billing practices comply with all applicable rules and regulations.
Required Skills:
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred
+ 3+ years of revenue cycle experience
+ Previous management experience
+ Experience managing A/R for government payers (Medicare, Medicaid)
+ Functional knowledge of how to manage and drive a team to meet KPIs and revenue metrics
+ Experience in an analytical environment and evidence of organizational skills
+ Understand the process of physician revenue cycle and back-end functional areas including: Billing, Follow-up, Cash Posting, Credits.
+ The ability to communicate key messages to multiple audiences (exempt staff through CFO's/VP of Revenue Cycle)
+ Exemplary problem-solving abilities and practical analytical competency to identify trends using data
+ Functional computer knowledge, including Excel spreadsheets, pivot tables and Microsoft Office products
+ Outstanding time management skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks while remaining self-directed
Desired Skills:
+ Epic EHR
+ Certified revenue cycle management experience
+ Prior continuous improvement experience utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $65,342.00 - $94,799.70 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 10.00%
