Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled 3D printing System Engineering Manager specialized in Software, leading the software development team that is dedicated to maturing and continuously advancing optical 3D printing technologies. This position is key in spearheading software projects that ensure seamless integration with hardware systems and bringing cutting-edge solutions that are scalable and reliable to enable the new approach(es) for building optical lenses and devices for smart and augmented reality glasses. The manager will focus on driving quality, performance, and continuous improvement in software development and processes, working closely with various departments to achieve strategic objectives.

Required Skills:

Optical 3D Printing Software System Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage a team of software engineers to deliver the design, development, and deployment of robust software solutions for optical 3D printing systems

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, mechanical engineers, and system architects, to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components

3. Ensure software quality and performance through rigorous testing and validation procedures.

4. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery of projects

5. Provide technical guidance to the team, and develop and grow engineers

6. Drive innovation by identifying and bringing state-of-art software engineering or AI technologies for process and technology improvements

7. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and partners

Minimum Qualifications:

8. Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

9. Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering, especially software-hardware co-design and engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

10. Demonstrated experience with programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, MATLAB and embedded systems, including microcontrollers, real-time operating system, and device drivers, as well as solid understanding of cyber-physical system needs.

11. Experience with 3D printing technologies such as Stereolithography, PolyJet/Materials Jetting, and/or Continuous Liquid Interface Production, etc.

12. Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or Computer-aided three dimensional interactive application.

13. Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and version control systems such as Git.

14. Experience with software development tools, including integrated development environment, and testing frameworks

15. Proven track record of success in leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

16. Capacity to work in a fast-paced, multi-region environment, embrace ambiguity, and adapt to changing priorities.

17. Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, or data analytics for 3D printing system and its digital twin

18. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices as well as cloud computing platforms

19. Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

20. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 26262 and IEC 61508

21. Certification in software engineering, such as Certified Software Development Associate (CSDA) or Certified Professional in Software Engineering (CPSE).

Public Compensation:

$177,000/year to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
