Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations at Eastern Maine Medical Center. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of food production and kitchen operations for both patient dining and the café. You will lead a team of culinary professionals, ensure strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, and collaborate on new culinary initiatives to enhance the dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Oversee all culinary operations, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and sanitation

+ Develop and manage food cost controls and budget expenditures

+ Design and implement menus for patient meals and the café

+ Source ingredients and manage inventory to ensure efficiency and freshness

+ Collaborate with marketing and culinary teams to launch new food programs

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Culinary degree or equivalent experience (preferred)

+ 3–5 years of culinary management experience, preferably in a healthcare or high-volume setting

+ Proven track record in managing food costs and budgets

+ Experience in high-volume food production and catering

+ Passion for continuous learning and professional growth within a leading foodservice organization
