    The National Security Sector at Leidos is seeking a Weapon Performance and Component Technology SME in Albuquerque, NM as part of our Counter-WMD Systems Engineering and Integration Team, supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. This position is new work which we expect to be awarded later in 2025.

    **In this role you will** provide improvement of existing modeling and simulation tools for weapon performance, the development of new models, and the comparison of weapon systems using models. This will include the following:

    + Integrate current and emerging technologies and associated data across the target hardness spectrum into existing modeling tools for predicting WMD defeat weapons performance.

    + Develop and modify models to support improved capabilities across the target hardness spectrum for predicting WMD defeat weapons performance.

    + Perform independent studies comparing capabilities of current and proposed weapons, including novel weapon deployment tactics, utilizing both engineering and high-fidelity calculations.

    Required Security Clearance:

    + Active TS/SCI clearance is required however we have the ability to hire at the Secret level for highly qualified candidates who are willing to upgrade to TS/SCI.

    Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

    + Active Secret level security clearance and the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI

    + Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or scientific field and 12+ years of relevant experience

    + Experience with DTRA research and development or developmental testing and evaluation

    Desired Experience, Skills, and Education:

    + Active TS/SCI security clearance

    + Graduate degree in engineering or a scientific field of study

    + Prior experience supporting DTRA RD-TS or RD-CXW

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
